Body adornment is an ancient tradition: ear piercing and other piercings have been present in various cultures for thousands of years. Some tribes wore them for ceremonial purposes, while others used them to express status or bravery. In modern times, piercing is not only a fashion statement but also a form of self-expression, giving people of all ages the opportunity to showcase their unique personality.
Ear Piercing for Adults and Children
Lobe piercing is a quick and gentle procedure performed in a clean, sterile environment. A hypoallergenic earring made of medical-grade metal or titanium is placed into the newly created hole.
The healing time is approximately 4–6 weeks — during this period, it is important to clean the area daily and avoid removing the earring to prevent infection or inflammation.
Ear Piercing Using System 75 Tool
According to the WHO (World Health Organization), ear piercing is not recommended before 3 months of age. In the first weeks, a baby’s face and ears are still changing and developing. After your little one turns 3 months old, I am happy to welcome them for ear piercing. In special cases, upon request, I can also visit your home.
For children, I use the Studex System75 ear piercing device, because it is barely noticeable, almost silent, and therefore ideal for the little ones. It also ensures optimal hygiene: both the earring and the backing are enclosed in a single-use, sterile capsule that is inserted directly into the device.
This patented technology guarantees an exceptionally gentle piercing experience.
Ear Piercing Using Studex Universal Tool
For adult ear piercing, I use the Studex Universal device. It is slightly louder than the one used for children, but it allows for a much wider selection of earrings.
Although all Studex earrings are nickel-free, in cases of known metal allergies I recommend titanium earrings, which are available for both systems.
Wellness Piercings
What is a wellness piercing?
Wellness (also known as energetic or holistic) piercings are not intended purely for aesthetic purposes. Piercings placed on specific points of the body may have positive effects on well-being based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture, or reflexology.
By stimulating certain energy pathways (meridians), these piercings may influence mood, stress levels, sleep, appetite, pain perception, and more.
Important: These are not medical treatments, but alternative or spiritual forms of body adornment, and they do not replace conventional medical care.
Daith piercing ( May have an effect on migraines)
The daith piercing is placed in the inner cartilage fold of the ear, in the “crus of the helix” area. This is a technically precise, more advanced type of ear piercing.
Why do many people choose it for migraines?
Because of its location, the daith piercing falls on a point that, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, corresponds to an acupuncture point connected to nerve pathways associated with headaches and migraines.
Alternative perspectives suggest that pressure on this point may influence the nervous system and potentially ease migraine cycles.

Shenmen piercing ( Spirit piercing, Flat )
The “Shenmen” point is located in the upper part of the ear — it is one of the best-known acupuncture points, and its name in Chinese means “Gate of the Spirit.”
Why is it popular?

According to some holistic approaches, this point may help with stress, anxiety, insomnia, and even overcoming certain addictions.

Spiritually, the Shenmen point is connected to the heart energy center and is believed to support inner balance.

When activated through piercing, it may aid concentration and promote mental calmness.

Menopause piercing (Forward Helix)
A unique piercing type placed on the upper curved cartilage of the ear. It is often chosen with the intention of supporting alternative feminine balance.
Why do many people seek it during menopause?
Menopause often comes with both physical and emotional challenges: hot flashes, sleep disturbances, anxiety, and hormonal imbalance. From a spiritual or energetic perspective, the menopause piercing is believed to activate a point associated with supporting hormonal balance and overall well-being.

I place it in the small front cartilage of the ear (the tragus). Because of its location, it is also a popular choice as a fashion piercing.

Some people report that after getting a slim piercing, their appetite decreased, and they felt fewer cravings for sweets or snacking.

It is popular among those making lifestyle changes or following a diet, as a form of psychological support, a mindful reminder, or a motivational tool.

Fashion piercings
Fashion piercings are primarily aesthetic and involve placing jewellery on different parts of the body. They are popular as nose, ear, and navel piercings — but the possibilities are almost endless, as they can be tailored to your individual anatomy and personal style. These piercings are a form of self-expression: they can follow current trends or create a completely unique look. In my studio, I offer a wide range of fashion piercings, including:

Henna Body Art
Henna body art is an ancient form of body decoration created with natural henna paste, most commonly applied to the hands and feet. The plant-based dye stains only the upper layer of the skin, which means the design gradually fades over several days or weeks.
Henna decoration traditionally has roots in cultural and religious ceremonies, but today it is also popular as a form of modern body art — especially in the summer or for special occasions.
The designs can be traditional, fully personalized, or modern in style, making henna a wonderful way to express yourself.

Glitter Tattoo
Glitter tattoos are a fun and eye-catching form of temporary body decoration, especially popular among children and teenagers, but they can also be a playful and creative choice for adults. The designs are created using stencils, skin-safe adhesive, and cosmetic glitter, resulting in a colourful, shiny, and unique look. Glitter tattoos are water-resistant, typically lasting 3–7 days, and can be removed easily. They are an excellent choice for events, birthday parties, festivals, or simply as a fun summer accessory.
